The North Lake Fire Department (NLFD) provides fire protection and other critical public safety services, including Emergency Medical Services (EMS), to residents and business owners within the Town of Chautauqua, NY. The NLFD also works to continually upgrade fire apparatuses and technology, educate the public in fire prevention, life safety and disaster preparedness, while ensuring a safe and secure environment to all citizens and visitors through professionalism, leadership, teamwork and partnership with all levels of Government.

The North Lake Fire Department went live on 09/03/2024 after the merger of the Dewittville, Hartfield, and Mayville Fire Departments. The North Lake Fire Department serves approximately 68 square miles within the Town of Chautauqua, NY.
